Wagaya no Oinari-sama 02 – It’s not a trap.

No, seriously… he/she simply has some gender issues.
Flavor: Mild
If you thought the first episode was boring, then you most likely won’t enjoy this one either. I think this week’s fighting scene was better than the previous one, and this time we had a lot more of humor due to Tenko and Kou discovering in amusing ways the new stuff that their new life on the city has to offer. Yet, still, I personally didn’t find that much of an improvement from last week’s episode… or maybe I simply wasn’t in the mood for some foxgirl action so I didn’t like this episode as much as I could have, orz.
Now, I haven’t heard that much stuff about the light novels… but all of what I’ve heard until now has been positive things. So, unless next week’s episode sucks badly, I plan on following this to see if this turns out as good as these few people claim it to be.
Next episode: I dunno, I forgot to watch the preview.
Kyouran Nikki Kazoku 01 – Total randomness.

MILF catgirls aren’t the only bizarre thing in this show.
Flavor: Mild
I think I would’ve enjoyed this episode a lot more if it weren’t for Kyouka (the catgirl character). She’s just so exaggeratedly energetic, and speaks waaaay too fast. That being said, I didn’t have any problems with the rest of the characters… in fact, I already like the jellyfish and Hyouka (the biological weapon) since they really crack me up. XD
So, I still haven’t decided if I’ll be watching this or not. I like the wacky aspect of the series, and there were some funny jokes here and there, but overall I’m not sure if the comedy was enough to compensate for the annoying parts (that’s it, whenever Kyouka opened her mouth and began babbling nonsense). However, now that the character introductions are over, next week’s episode should be a lot more fun, and hopefully I’ll be able to make my decision after watching that.
No commentsDa Capo II S.S. 02 – The forgotten heroine.

In the first season she seemed like a supporting character, but she’s in fact one of the main heroines in the game.
Flavor: Mild
This episode didn’t have robots saving kids or anything like that, but I still found it pretty ridiculous. My guess is that the people who worked on the game didn’t care that much about giving the rest of the girls other than Yume and Otome a decent story since they were filler heroines anyway (or maybe the ones who are doing an horrible job are the producers for this show lol).
So, yeah, this was an Anzu-centered episode. Based on what I’ve read about the game, her story is kinda connected to all the magical sakura tree business so I was fine with it being animated… but now that they’ve shown us a part of it, it has already brought me bad memories of the crappy Minatsu route that we got last year.
First, we have Yoshiyuki being again the one who strictly gets to help the girl and Anzu showing some emotions for the boy almost immediately. Then, we have the whole “wait your right, we’re actually Anzu’s friends! lol we gotta be nice to her so let’s make a party at her house!” thing from the rest of the gang which not only is stupid but ends up making everything plain booooooooring. And let’s not forget about how Anzu has been able to live there alone for all that long time!
Seriously, the only good thing from all of this was that Yume finally showed her deredere side and wasn’t that much of a bitch this time. But this episode wasn’t dedicated to her so it’s like it doesn’t matter anyway.
Next episode: … Mahou Shoujo Otome?

HIDDEN SEX
Flavor: Sour
Initial reaction: BL XD
Like I’ve said before, I don’t mind yaoi… unless it involves Naruto x Sasuke or any other of all those fake pairings that yaoi fangirls usually come up with. That doesn’t mean I’ve actually seen stuff like Gravitation or Loveless, though… since I usually find these series quite boring, and this show doesn’t look like it could be an exception.
The storyline, of course, sucks and it was just there as a weak excuse to turn the main character gay for that other guy. The hot BL action scene was done much better in the manga because, even if some parts in there were censored as well, you could actually tell what was Akihiko really doing to the poor Misaki. =P And, finally, there wasn’t all that much comedy or anything else that could keep me interested for the rest of the episode.
So, am I skipping this show, then? Probably not. I’m still curious as to how they’re planning on handling the rest of the manga, since there’s like a sex scene in every chapter and some of them are really explicit. Also, I guess there’s nothing else for me to watch on Thursdays other than xxxHOLiC Kei… so I might keep following this even if only for the lulz.

Special A 01 – They’re lonnnnnnnnnnng.

Surely you know what I mean.
Flavor: Mild
Initial reaction: Geez, no OP sequence.
I actually watched this when the RAW came out… I just didn’t know what to write about it. The only complaints I had with this were probably the same as everybody else: the legs, Yuuko’s role as Hikari, that annoying song they played during the, err… “action” scene (aka the OP theme, ugh), etc. Also, I was curious to see why people kept comparing this with Ouran and, yeah, guess I really managed to find some similarities between these two. Overall, this first episode wasn’t as fun as I hoped it to be, but I admit it was still pretty decent so I’m looking forward to the next one.
By the way, I’m planning on reading the manga, although I’m not so sure if that’d be a good idea since I’m afraid I could start hating the show if I did that.
2 commentsMonochrome Factor 01 – P.S. This is BL.

Ohhhhhhhh…
Flavor: Sour
Initial reaction: Is this yaoi?
Huh? Either they went overboard with the BL jokes or this is really yaoi, orz. I mean, I actually watched the first episode of that other show with ninjas, and that one also had a few of these kind of jokes, but in this one they were all over the place and there was even a gay kissing scene. I actually don’t mind yaoi, though… it’s just that everything came out so unexpected because nobody had mentioned anything about this show having that sort of content.
Anyway, aside from that, I don’t think there was anything else that managed to catch my attention. The action scenes were pretty average and the overall episode seemed pretty boring to me. From what I’ve seen so far, I wouldn’t even recommend it to yaoi fangirls, though it’s obvious that there are a lot of them who would actually watch any kind of crappy show as long as it has gay material on it.
Keep blogging? Probably not.
