Flavor: Sweet

Not so much Lawrence x Horo stuff in this episode, but I still liked it. So, Horo was finally rescued this time but she wasn’t all that happy about it because of the way they did it, since she wanted Lawrence to come and rescue her by himself like a true man.

Anyways, we also got some nice revelations this week, with Chloe being the person who Horo previously recognized in the group who captured her. She even said some cruel things to her, like how it was time to forget about all this wolf-deity business so she’d hand her in to the church. Eh, I thought this Chloe girl was some sort of an anime-original character… didn’t think they’d involve her in the story that much.

Now this is what I’ve been waiting for.

Flavor: Sweet

Loved the cute interactions between Horo and Lawrence, as well as the scene where they flee from the masked men… I’m glad this show is starting to get some interesting stuff in there. I’m not into economics, but I guess it can be fun when it isn’t all about chatting with people and talking about silver coins. Also, nice way to end the episode with Lawrence revealing that his partner is a wolf-girl god and Horo noticing a familiar face in the group who captured her.

Flavor: Sour

Eh, this series has only been airing for two weeks and it’s already starting to get somewhat boring for me… guess I should’ve expected something like this coming from a show that’s gonna be focused on economics. Both Lawrence and Horo seemed like some quite nice characters, but if they’re going to end up in such situations… it’s like they automatically lose whatever potential they had to become an interesting pair. I wouldn’t mind if they added some romance to the story… that’d spice things up a bit.

Initial reaction: How long is she going to stay naked?

This was a rather good start, though it wasn’t that much of an interesting episode since it served mostly to introduce the two main characters. Still, I don’t have any complaints with the animation quality shown so far. I really liked the BGMs they used in there since they contributed to the medieval atmosphere in which this story takes place. The OP theme was quite nice, too… The ED, instead, seemed pretty weird with all those engrish lyrics. Also, I hope all you guys who are wathing this solely for the wolfgirl enjoyed this week’s fanservice since probably we’ll be getting much less from now on.
