xxxHOLiC Kei 09 - The tsundere boy and the loli.

By the way, I just don’t like Kohane’s voice… it simply doesn’t suit her!

Err, I think this has been my least favorite episode so far. Maybe it’s because I’ve already had enough of Kohane’s arc in the manga (good thing it looks like it’s pretty much over) but, yeah, I didn’t really enjoy this one. That scene where Kohane’s mother throws hot tea at Watanuki felt like it had more impact the way it was shown in the manga, and all the filler stuff they added in the end pretty much left me confused for the rest of the episode. Wait, I thought Watanuki was supposed to stay in bed and start ‘dreaming’? I’m not really sure but I remember that some important things happened during these chapters… so I was quite surprised to see them skipping to more Kohane stuff… but, well, whatever floats their boat. =P
Next episode: I don’t remember anything about all that haunted mansion business in the manga, so I guess it’s gonna be more filler stuff.

Haha, take that!

This week’s episode was centered around the tsuntsun sister, yet for some reason I ended up enjoying it… maybe the fact that the animation quality was pretty high this time helped a bit.
Anyways, I’m sure there was also an ski trip event thing in the game, though I really doubt you could actually get to see it on Yume’s path. Huh, at least it was still a kinda important episode for Yume’s storyline, since the whole Yume trying to avoid the snow accident but failing in the end stuff was there to show that *spoiler, highlight to read* Yume is unable to alter the future, and whatever event she ends up foreseeing in her dreams is gonna happen anyways no matter how hard she tries to change everything… except in this case it’s like she didn’t even try because she practically decided to go out to ski in the end =P. Oh, well…

Today’s episode was centered around Yuuka (the young shy human girl) and her bully problems at school. At first, I thought “damn, it’s gonna be KimiAru all over again with the obligatory dorama and all that crap” but I guess the serious business stuff didn’t bother me that much this time. Also, the last part of the episode… the one where the “family” decide to give Yuuka’s classmates a lesson by making them believe that the girl was in fact a super cool mahou shoujo robot… it was pretty fun. Oh, and Kyouka didn’t seem to babble that much in this episode, so I suppose that’s a bonus.
Next episode: More about the odd girl we got to see in the end, probably.

Initial reaction: Rejected!
This was actually quite good. I mean, yeah, the male protagonist is a total dick, and the whole “house collapsing because of an earthquake that random guy banging his head against the wall” seemed like a pretty weak reason to simply make the girl and the idiot live in the same house…. but, I dunno, I think that after seeing both main characters’ personalities I’m now sorta curious to see how they end up getting all rabu rabu for each other… and, well, it’s been a while since I’ve seen one of these shoujo romance series, so I think I could keep following this. Guess I should watch a few episodes more before making up my mind about it.
Keep blogging? 26 episodes seems too much for me, but… we’ll see.

Uh, nobody else is blogging this series, so I might as well write a quick summary for this week’s episode:

…

You know, I didn’t really pay that much attention to this episode. I just knew that the damsel-in-distress of the week was some boy who was seeking revenge for his otou-chama or something like that. The group gets sent to a prision, then they escape from it while fighting with some weird-looking guys commanded by a bald dude. Yes, there were some more action scenes this week… except they felt like they didn’t have any action in them since most of the fighting stuff wasn’t animated. At least the episode ended with another somewhat cool speech from the awesome Rahzel.
